Charles “Chuck” Franklin Easdon, 89, died September 17, 2023, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. He was born December 20, 1933, in Perryton, Texas, to Frank and Sarah (Thomas) Easdon.
On September 16, 1953, Chuck entered the United States Air Force. He served until September 15, 1957, including time in Korea during the Korean Conflict.
Chuck was a union member sheet metal worker. He loved anything to do with cars including working on them and attending car shows. In the 1960’s he and several friends enjoyed using CB Radios. Chuck loved spending time with his grandchildren.
On November 3, 1956, he married Dixie Lee McCarthy, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They shared 66 years of marriage before she passed away on August 29, 2023.
Chuck is survived by: children, Jerry (Judi) Easdon of Hollister, MO, Paula Sue (Terry) Endicott of Broken Arrow, OK, Jess (Kim) Easdon of Hutchinson; son-in-law, Steve (Vickie) Douglas of Broken Arrow, OK; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great- grandchildren plus scores of bonus children.
He was preceded in death by his: parents; wife; daughter, Pam Douglas; and granddaughter, Hannah Easdon.
A private graveside service will be held in Fairlawn Burial Park. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
