HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A day-long celebration of motorcycle culture will return to downtown Hutchinson on Saturday with the seventh annual Downtown Mayhem Biker Bash.

Hosted by Bretz Injury Law in partnership with Salty Cycles, the event will run from noon to 10 p.m. at 129 E. Sherman Ave. and the adjacent park area.

A custom Harley-Davidson Crossbones motorcycle will be given away during the event. Tickets for the drawing are $50 each, with a limited number available, and the winner will be announced at 8 p.m. (Photo courtesy of Bretz Injury Law)

Organizers say the event is designed for a wide audience, not just motorcycle enthusiasts.

“It’s basically for everybody,” Casey Ensz said. “We have a lot of stuff for kids. We have a lot of stuff for people who don’t ride motorcycles.”

The event will feature food trucks, axe throwing, a kids area and prize giveaways throughout the day. One of the main attractions will be the Ives Brothers’ “Wall of Death,” where stunt riders perform inside a vertical cylindrical structure.

“They’re basically riding inside of a barrel parallel to the ground,” Ensz said. “It’s really cool.”

Four free performances of the stunt show are scheduled, an increase from previous years.

The event will also include a major giveaway: a custom Harley-Davidson Crossbones motorcycle. Tickets for the drawing are $50 each, with a limited number available, and the winner will be announced at 8 p.m.

The motorcycle was built in collaboration with Salty Cycles, which organizers say has been a key partner in their events.

“They built this Crossbones motorcycle for us so that we could give the proceeds to Mothers Against Drunk Driving and Canines for Warriors,” Ensz said.

Organizers say the Downtown Mayhem Biker Bash continues to grow each year, offering a mix of entertainment, community engagement and charitable support.
