Louise Stuckey, 86, of Hutchinson, died October 6, 2022, peacefully at Wesley Towers. She was born August 27, 1936, in Hutchinson to Matthew and Ruth (Albright) Cain.
Louise graduated from Reno County High School (later Nickerson), in 1954. She was a caring homemaker while her children were growing up. After her children left home, she enjoyed selling furniture at a local furniture store. Music meant a lot to Louise; she displayed this by being an organist at church and with Hutchinson Broncs. She taught Sunday school and was a lifetime member of Nickerson United Methodist Church. Louise was also a member of the Nickerson Order of Eastern Star. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and sewing.
On November 14, 1954, she married J.B. Stuckey. They shared 61 years of marriage before his passing on May 30, 2015.
Louise is survived by: daughter, Debbie Binns (Greg), Hutchinson; son, David Stuckey (Jennifer), Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Kyle Binns (Roxanne), Brad Binns (Holly), Haley Stuckey, Jayton Stuckey; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Merrick, Abigail, Jack; sister, JoAnn Laughlin, Wichita; and close friend, Harold Henry, Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, J.B.; and sister, Joyce Sattler.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with Rev. Dr. J. Ted Blakley officiating. Family will greet friends following the service. Friends may sign the book from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
