HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The first farce to grace the boards at Stage 9 is back for its 10th anniversary. Lucky Stiff is back April 4th - 7th & 11th - 14th at Stage 9 at 9 S. Main in Hutchinson.

"It's a fast-moving musical farce," said Cris Corey, who plays Luigi Gaudi in the production. "It's really over the top. It's fun. It's a riot. It's been a real joy to be a part of this cast and the show itself.

Opening night tickets are just $10, in honor of Stage 9's 10th anniversary. Tickets are available at www.stage9hutch.com/tickets.

Danny Nowlan plays central character Harry Witherspoon.

"Harry is a down on his luck, insecure, British shoe salesman," Nowlan said. "Harry finds out that his recently deceased uncle has left him an inheritance of $6 million, but there's a catch. That catch is that he has to take his uncle's corpse on vacation to Monte Carlo."

Another unique feature of the show is that the set dressing will use periaktos. These triangular prisms made of wood are three-sided set backgrounds that will be moved and positioned by the actors during the course of the show. The ten periaktos were constructed by John Harding and painted by Jamie Goble.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
