SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Topeka.
Just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a reported shooting Reser's Fine Foods, 3167 SE 10th Street in Topeka, according to police spokesperson Rosie Nichols.
First responders found an individual suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, who was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
Investigators believe this was an isolated incident that occurred in the parking lot and no other injuries have been reported. Police die not release the name of the victim or report an arrest.
Reser's is a family owned and operated prepared food business, according to the company web site. This is the third homicide investigation of 2024
