
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Career and Technical Education Academy (HCTEA) recently recognized eight students for completing the Certified Nurse Aide program.
Medical science instructor Erika Barnes noted the students worked hard in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical experience to complete the required instructional outcomes for certification. The students received a certificate of completion along with a reception with family members in attendance.

Also in attendance was Hutchinson High School senior Cristian Padilla, who earned his CNA certificate during the 2020-21 school year and served as a student aide for the second trimester class.
The students will now take their state board exams at Hutchinson Community College. The HCTEA offers three Certified Nurse Aide courses each year in partnership with the Hutchinson Community College Allied Health Department.
