HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The status conference in the rape case against a former Hutchinson police officer has been pushed back again.

According to official paperwork filed Tuesday afternoon signed by Judge Daniel Gilligan, the status conference will now occur on Feb. 8 at 3 p.m.

The formal charges filed against Allen include 17 felonies and seven misdemeanors.

Allen was arrested August 17 and is charged with two counts of rape or alternative counts of aggravated sexual battery.

The charges include three counts of attempted rape or alternative counts of aggravated sexual battery, two more counts of aggravated sexual battery, aggravated indecent liberties with a child, two counts of kidnapping and two counts of attempted aggravated sexual battery.

The two counts of rape are level one person felonies.

Allen also faces five counts of breach of privacy and two misdemeanor counts of sexual battery.

He is currently free on a $250,000 bond.

Hutchinson Police Chief Jeff Hooper said that when Allen was arrested on sex crime charges in August, that was hard on him and on his department.
