WICHITA, Kansas. – Kansas Department of Corrections resident Jauwon Antonio Allen has been placed on escape status at approximately 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, escaped after being placed on administrative restriction.
Allen, a 36-year old black male, was reported missing when the resident was seen leaving and did not return for evening count at the minimum-security unit. This walkaway does not impact the security or operations of the medium-maximum secure compound.
Allen is 5-feet, 7-inches tall, and weighs 234pounds with a stocky build. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue sweatpants, and blue hat.
Allen was convicted in Sedgwick and Ellis County for 35-months of incarceration for criminal threat and obstructing legal process of official duty in a felony, or resulting from felony parole convictions.
