HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Police Department warned the public Thursday afternoon that someone was going up to residences saying they are a city employee with the water department, telling people they are behind on their bill and need to make a cash payment or their water will be shut off.
Police noted that a city employee will never come to your residence and request a cash payment for your utility services. If you encounter someone who is acting like this, please do not give them any information. Call 911 to report them.
