NEWTON, Kan. — The City of Newton is still seeking residents to join in ongoing surveys.
Newton has contracted with FlashVote, an independent, scientific survey service provider, to engage the community and gather valuable resident feedback on city government matters.
In the next year, FlashVote will create a series of one-minute surveys about timely city issues that residents may choose to receive by email, phone call or text message.
These surveys will cover a range of topics, such as the budget, utilities, city projects and more.
Newton residents can sign up by visiting flashvote.com/NewtonKS or calling (775) 235-2240.
Sign-up takes less than one minute and survey data is anonymous.
Personal or demographic information collected by FlashVote is never shared with the city or anyone else.
When residents sign up, they can determine how their surveys are received, whether by email, text or phone call.
After residents sign up, they will receive a notification whenever the city posts a new survey, and they will have 48 hours to participate before voting closes.
Once a survey is closed, everyone who participated will automatically receive a summary of the overall results and be able to see how their responses compare to the rest of the community.
City commissioners and staff will use the survey results to help shape city policy, projects and decisions in the coming year.
