Charles Franklin Mendenhall III, age 43 died on December 26, 2024, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Charles was born May 13, 1981, in Wichita, Ks. The son of Charles Franklin Mendenhall Jr. and Karen Ann (Page) Gregg.
A Plevna resident Charles worked for the city of Plevna, KS. He attended Haven High School and Graduated from Hutchinson Community College Auto Mechanic program with honors. He was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed camping and fishing all over Kansas with family and friends. Charles enjoyed mechanic work and owned his own mechanic shop in Hutchinson for many years. On October 10, 2020, he married Amber Dawn Griffin in Plevna, KS.
Survivors include, wife, Amber Dawn (Griffin) Mendenhall of Plevna, KS; daughter, Kari Dawn Crawford of Hutchinson; son, Charles Franklin Mendenhall IV of Plevna, KS; mother Karen Ann (Page) Gregg of Hutchinson; sisters Martha Ann Rochefort of Panama City, FL and Katherine Ann Mendenhall of Hutchinson; brother, Timothy Wayne Mendenhall of Hutchinson, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Cremation will take place with funeral services to follow on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave, Hutchinson, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to Amber Mendenhall to help the family with funeral expenses and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
