HAVEN, Kan. — Haven USD 312 teachers have approved a new contract for the 2021-22 school year.
The teachers voted on the contract after the district and the union approved the agreement following a negotiation session earlier this month.
Under the proposed agreement teachers will see a 2.75% increase in pay. That will raise the starting base pay to $40,473 per year. The union was asking for a 3% increase while the board had countered with 2.5%.
With the teachers approval the contract now goes before the school board during their next agenda session August 9.
