Reno Co. Annex will be closed over the noon hour

Posted Aug 17, 2021 8:16 PM

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Reno County Annex is limiting access to its facility effective immediately.

The limited hours are because of staffing shortages in the annex from several confirmed COVID-19 cases. Starting Wednesday, the annex will be closed from noon to 1 p.m. daily until further notice. Delays are expected for in-person business, so online and mail transactions are encouraged.

Vehicle tag renewals can be completed online at http://ikan.ks.gov, by mail to 125 W. 1st Ave. Hutchinson, KS 67501 or by dropping the renewal documents into the secure ballot box in front of the annex. The box will be checked frequently.

Current real estate and personal property tax payments can also be made online at www.kansas.gov/propertytax, mailed to the annex, or dropped off in the ballot box. A contact number is needed on any documentation left in the box or mailed to the annex.

Staff at the appraiser’s office will be working partially remotely, so allow for additional time if documentation is needed. Likewise, the Register of Deeds is encouraging persons to call ahead and mail documents when possible. No documents for the Register of Deeds office can be left in the ballot box per statutory requirements.

Please visit http://www.renogov.org for more information or call one of the departments below for assistance.
