HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson USD 308 Board of Education (BOE) member Kail Denison resigned effective immediately at the school board meeting Monday night.
"She served in various roles on the board," USD 308 Director of Communications Stacy Goss said. "We respect her decision and we thank her for her service."
Denison said on her USD 308 School Board Facebook page that she resigned to help a new teacher explore employment opportunities within the district.
"My time on the USD 308 Board hasn't always been easy...far from it most days," Denison said via Facebook. "A pandemic, school threats, teacher shortages, budget concerns, and political agendas had been unforeseen challenges and caused many sleepless nights. I have never volunteered for something so hard and all consuming..... but easy is rarely fulfilling, and it has also been some of the most fulfilling work I have ever done."
Denison has served on the Hutchinson USD 308 BOE since 2015.
