KINGMAN, Kan. — KDOT says K-42 in Kingman and Pratt counties is now closed between K-14 and US-281 for railroad crossing repair. The closing is the first of three that will take place.
The first closing will run through Saturday, Aug. 14, or until equipment is cleared. The second runs from Tuesday, Aug. 17, through Saturday, Aug. 21, or until equipment is cleared. The third closing is from Tuesday, Aug. 24, through Saturday, Aug. 28, or until equipment is cleared. The crossing repairs are along K-42 at Norwich, Rago and just east of Zenda.
For detours, motorists can go north to U.S. 54/400 or south to U.S. 160.
