HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The retirement of County Treasurer Brenda Kowitz was announced at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on Wednesday. She will be retiring Dec. 29.
The Reno County Republican Committee will be meeting to fill the position. Commissioner John Whitesel said that meeting is due to happen on Dec. 21.
The office will be back on the ballot in November of 2024.
