HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Registration is ongoing for the Vieyra Honors Foundation Veterans Honor 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, November 12 at 8:30 a.m. at DCI Park at 2nd and Main.
Participants are allowed to complete a one mile, two mile or three mile loop.
The 5K & Fun Run will start and end between 2nd and 3rd streets on Main Street in Downtown Hutch with an awards ceremony held afterward.
The loop will go down Main through the path of Veterans Banners currently on display organized earlier this year by VHF.
Registration for the event is open until 8 a.m. the day of the event.
VFW Post 1361 will be hosting a pancake feed that is open to the public, as well.
Local Veterans organizations will be in attendance with information booths. Booths will include Kansas Honor Flight, 40 & 8 Club, and Hutchinson Regional Health Care System.
Metropolitan Coffee, Kroger, Jackson’s and Hubco have all provided donations to help make this event possible, as well.
100% of all proceeds will go to Reno County Veterans Awareness and initiatives with the Foundation.
