Sterling Chamber sponsors Thanksgiving dinner

STERLING, Kan. — The Sterling Chamber of Commerce sponsors the annual Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner in Sterling.

The dinner will be served in the Sterling College Cafeteria, located in the Student Union Building on campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this time when Sterling College students who don't go home for the holidays and people who live alone have the opportunity to eat Thanksgiving dinner with others.

The meal will feature the traditions; turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, salads, relishes, bread, dessert and drinks. Guests who wish to do so may bring desserts and salads.

Although this meal is free of charge, the chamber does accept free will donations.  They will also be collecting donations of canned and other goods (including soaps, detergents, cleaning items and paper products) for the area food banks.
