
SALINE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an alleged ATM Jackpotting incident in Salina. Jackpotting involves the exploitation of physical and software vulnerabilities in automated banking machines that result in the machines dispensing cash.
Just before 10:30a.m. Monday, police responded to Bennington State Bank, 2130 South Ohio in Salina in reference to a “Jackpotting” theft, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.
Investigators determined that at approximately 8p.m. Sunday, the suspect entered the ATM at the bank and were able to obtain an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then proceeded to the Bennington State Bank branch located at 200 S. 9th Street in Salina at about 1a.m. Monday, where they were able to enter the ATM and obtain an undisclosed amount of casy from that ATM also.

The suspect vehicle was a white Lincoln passenger car. A Kansas tag was observed on the vehicle. It was determined the tag had been stolen between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM on 11/23/2025 from a vehicle in the 100 block of S. Phillips in Salina.
It is suspected a Jackpotting incident which occurred Wamego, Kansas, after the events in Salina are connected.
