Pilot, passengers rescued after helicopter crash into river in Missouri

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. —The pilot and three passengers were injured after a helicopter crash into the Meramec River Thursday.

According to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the helicopter carrying Missouri State Parks employees, may have struck a power line while the team was conducting an aerial survey.

Sullivan Fire Protection District crews rescued the four people on board  and transported them to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
