Katie Yutzy Weaver, 85, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away at her home on January 30, 2024. She was born in Hutchinson on September 3, 1938 to William J. and Fannie (Miller) Yutzy.
She was a member of the Amish Church of Hutchinson.
Katie was a devoted homemaker.
On June 2, 1960, she was married to Ben R. Weaver, who preceded her in death on November 18, 2003.
She is survived by her children, Atlee (Anna) Weaver of Trenton, KY, Karen (Danny) Yoder of Guthrie, KY, Earl (Karey) Weaver of Hutchinson, Raymond (Betty) Weaver of Hutchinson, and Marvin (Barbara) Weaver of Haven; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Eli (Loretta) Yutzy of Bremen, IN, Fred (Sara Ann) Yutzy of Vermontville, MI, and Jonas (Emma) Yutzy of Jamesport, MO; sister, Mary (Elmer) Beechy of Jamesport, MO; and two sisters-in-law, Freida Stutzman of Peebles, OH, and Edna Weaver of LaRussell, MO.
Katie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, John Yutzy; and great-granddaughter, Angela Kanagy.
Funeral services to be held at 10 a.m., Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Amish Community Building, 5917 West Mills Ave, Hutchinson, with Dan Hershberger officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 1 at the Amish Community Building. Burial will be held in the Amish Church Cemetery, Hutchinson.
