Edna Mae (Goad) Franco 82, died at her Walton residence on September 26, 2023. She was born March 9, 1941 in Newton, Kansas to William "Bill" and Ruby Elda "Decker" Goad. On April 30, 1960 she married Gregorio Franco at Newton, Kansas and he survives of the home.
Edna was a woman of great faith and faithfully served her church in many capacities thorough the years. Her greatest joy in life was being a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Edna is survived by her husband Gregorio of the home; son David Franco; daughter Cheri (Patrick) Stabler; sister Doris Lewallen; 6 grandchildren Stephanie, steven, Matthew, Nate, Jacob and Kylee 6 great grandchildren Dakota, Alex, Jackson, Brooks, Zoey and Benjamin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Billy and Gaylon Goad and sister Karen Baker
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesdays, October 3, 2023 at Church of God of the Firstborn at 10th and Oak in Newton with Pastor Charles Brackeen presiding. Burial will be in the Royer Cemetery on S.W. 24th in Rural Newton. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friend's from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Gregorio Franco to help offset expenses of the services.
