HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Buhler USD 313 is preparing to do its part in closing the sale of the Obee School property. A special meeting of the USD 313 Board of Education has been called for noon Wednesday at Union Valley Elementary in Hutchinson.
On the agenda for that meeting is a resolution on the sale of property.
USD 313 Superintendent Cindy Couchman tells Hutch Post that the purpose of the resolution is to allow a board member to sign the appropriate paperwork.
If no other issues come up, the property is scheduled to close on Dec. 30.
This has been a months-long process, because due to its proximity to the airport, the sale required a special survey of the land immediately surrounding it because of grant agreements with the FAA.
