HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Monarchs have added two more home games to the schedule, according to owner/general manager Marc Blackim. The two dates are Wednesday, July 12 against the Derby Twins and Monday, July 24 against the Newton Sluggin' Rebels.
The Monarchs were scheduled to play in Derby on the 12th and in Newton on the 24th. Hutchinson made an extra trip to Derby and Newton in June after Hobart-Detter Field was unplayable due to weather, so the Twins and Sluggin' Rebels will return the favor this month.
The team will open the second half of the season tomorrow night against the Wichita Black Sox. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. from Hobart-Detter Field and can be watched exclusively on Hutch Post.
Hutchinson finished the month of June with a 7-11 record and a fifth place finish in the league standings.
