HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec and the Salt City Splash will host several events for youth and adults this summer..
Junior lifeguard training will be offered to those ages 11-14 from July 6 through the 22. The fee is $35 and scholarships are available. This will introduce youth to becoming a lifeguard.
The Hutch Rec swim team will also be offered this summer for those ages 7-14. The swimming will run June 15 through July 22 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
For adults, swim lessons will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting June 15th. Lesson times are 8 to 8:45 p.m. The fee is $45.
Water aerobics will be taught for adults in two sessions. June 15 through July 1 and then again July 6 through July 22. Cost is $30.
Registration for all of these activities can be done in person at the Hutch Rec offices at 17 E. 1st or online at hutchrec.com.
