Buhler USD 313 Superintendent Cindy Couchman has been named one of three finalists for Kansas Superintendent of the Year.
The award is presented through the United School Administrators of Kansas and the Kansas School Superintendents Association.
The three finalists are, Couchman, Dr. Brent Yeager of Olathe, and Blake Vargas of Caney Valley.
Finalists are selected through a nomination and application process led by fellow school administrators from across Kansas. The three finalists will advance to the final stage, which includes an interview with a panel of peer administrators.
Buhler USD 313 celebrated Couchman’s selection, calling her “our very own Mrs. Cindy Couchman” in announcing the honor.
The award recognizes outstanding leadership and service among Kansas public school superintendents. The statewide winner will be selected following the finalist interviews.
