On Saturday, July 20th, 2024, Kristin (Adams) Kliewer, loving wife and mother of four, passed away at the age of 54, following a brief but valiant fight with Stage IV cancer, surrounded by her family at home.
An avid reader and talented musician, Kristin was a born teacher, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education/Elementary Music from Tabor College. Kristin was well known and loved in the music community in the mid-Kansas area, and taught over 700 students during her career. Kristin was active in her church over the years and had many beloved friendships. She was best known for her quick-witted humor, her kind spirit, love for her family and community, and contributions to the arts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Adams, her grandparents, Johnny and Marguerite Fink, and her father-in-law, Jonah Kliewer.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, David Kliewer, her daughters, Valerie Snyder (Nathan), Paige Kliewer-McClellan, Elise Czarnowsky (Christian), and Emma Kliewer, her mother and step-father, Virginia and Kermit Iserhardt, her brother Jonathan Adams (Dawny), step-siblings Beth Lord and Chris Iserhardt, her mother-in-law Elinor Kliewer, and her grandchildren, Rain and Ember Czarnowsky.
Her celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at 1:00pm at First Presbyterian Church in Newton, KS.
