Stage 9
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Stage 9 in Hutchinson is holding auditions Monday for its next production. Auditions for The Quality of Life continue Monday, June 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Stage 9 at 9 S. Main.
The Quality of Life, a dramatic comedy, is a life affirming play that examines life and death from many viewpoints: ethical, religious, moral and personal. Filled with compassion, honesty and humor, the play introduces us to two couples with differing viewpoints.
As one couple grieves the loss of a loved one, the other couple faces a terminal cancer diagnosis.
The couples - one firmly on the left, the other conservative Midwesterners – discuss the topics of mortality and morality and find common ground amongst their differences.
Written by Jane Anderson specifically for the Geffen Playhouse, it opened in October 2007.
Show dates are August 10, 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. & August 13 at 2 p.m.
Stage 9 is looking for 4 adults: 2 women and 2 men.
