Julie Marie Beam, 62, of Hutchinson, died December 18, 2023, at Hospice House. She was born January 9, 1961, in Great Bend, to James L. and Linda L. (Holt) Meek.
Julie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1979 and attended Hutchinson Community College. She loved taking care of children and worked as a child care attendant at CrossPoint Church and then as a dorm mother at Victory Village Christian Academy. Julie also loved to paint, read, collect comic books, and watch movies with her family. She was active in sharing Bible verses in online Bible forums and Christian message boards.
Julie is survived by: her son, Nathan Beam, his wife, Hannah, and their son, Malachi, of Hutchinson; mother and stepfather, Linda and Richard McCullum of Hutchinson; sisters, Lisa Dimmitt and her husband, John, and Jenni Buckmaster and her husband, Buckey, all of Wichita; and many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Meek.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2023, at Elliott Chapel, with the Reverend Bill Cowell of Victory Village officiating. Burial will follow in Buhler Municipal Cemetery East.
The service will be livestreamed and the link to view it will be active beginning at 2:15 p.m. the day of the service.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, at Elliott Mortuary.
