HUTCHINSON, Kan. — TECH of Hutchinson will host its annual Uncorked for TECH event August 8th. The event is an annual fund raiser for the support service.
Participants will be able to stroll through the downtown area and sample upscale hors d’oeuvres and a variety of wines from all over the country. Local downtown businesses will be opening their doors to feature perfectly paired food and wine.
While the event is still a ways off, TECH is already looking for volunteers to help out. Nearly 100 volunteers are needed. Volunteers will work at a venue location from 5:45 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. the night of the event and all volunteers are required to attend a volunteer training meeting to familiarize yourselves with the wines prior to the event. You must be 21 to volunteer.
Tickets are $40 and go on sale Friday, July 9th at 9 a.m. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling 620-663-1596. All ticket holders for this event must be at least 21 years of age.
Proceeds benefit individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by TECH. Early ticket purchase is encouraged as they go quickly.
