NEWTON, Kan. — A portion of SW 24th Street will be closed for several weeks beginning Wednesday, Jan. 10, for construction on the bridge over Sand Creek, weather permitting.
SW 24th Street will be closed to all traffic between South Anderson and Cow Palace Road. Visitors to the Harvey County Solid Waste Transfer Station will need to take U.S. 50 to Cow Palace.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of April, weather permitting. King Construction is the prime contractor.
