HUTCHINSON, Kan. — PrairieStar continues to receive a number of doses for the Covid-19 Moderna vaccine for Phase 2a which is for patients 65+ according to the guidelines. Right now, PrairieStar gets 100 doses a week.
PrairieStar now has a registration form on their website: www.prairiestarhealth.org
Patients need to fill the form out and submit it online. Patients will be put on a list and PrairieStar will contact them for an appointment and provide the second appointment for the second dose at that time.
Patients should not call PrairieStar, as the call center will not know when or how much vaccine may be available.
It is important that patients work through their Primary Care Provider when possible. The Primary Care Provider has the patient’s medical history and will ensure appropriate documentation and coordination of both doses of the vaccine.
