NW Kan. man jailed for Valentine's Day murder in 2021

PHILLIPS COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities investigating a murder that occurred on Valentine's Day three years ago have a suspect in custody.

On February 14, 2021, deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 600 block of 7th Street in Phillipsburg, according to a media release from the Phillips County Sheriff.

The incident resulted in the death of 43-year-old Janna Lea Constable.

Just after 5:30 p.m. Monday, the Phillips County Sheriffs Office executed an arrest warrant for 37-year-old Phillipsburg resident Kevin Lee Hadley.

Hadley was arrested on requested charges of second degree murder, interference with a law enforcement officer and possession of a Firearm. He remains in custody with a $125,000 bond.
