HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson City Council appointed Stuart Conklin to the Northeast District seat being vacated by Jade Piros de Carvalho and Stacy Goss to the At-Large seat on the council being vacated by Sara Bagwell in their meeting on Tuesday.
Mr. Conklin is a long-time partner in Conklin Cars in Hutchinson and is a lifelong resident and Hutch High graduate.
Stacy Goss is the Community Liaison with Hospice and Homecare of Reno County and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a masters in HealthCare Leadership.
She helped with Cris Corey's campaign for Reno County Commission.
Both candidates received all yes votes for their installation, though Jade Piros de Carvalho abstained from the vote for her own replacement.
The new council members will be installed Feb. 7.
