The largest college and career planning event in Kansas is back and ready to help students chart their post-high school futures.
The ESSDACK Career Planning Expo will take place on Wednesday, October 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and again on Thursday, October 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson.
With over 5,000 students attending the two-day event last year, ESSDACK says the expo is designed to be “the perfect place to start exploring their post-high school futures.”
What Students Can Expect
Students will have the opportunity to explore a wide array of post-secondary pathways including:
Two-year and four-year college degrees
Industry certifications and apprenticeships
Military service opportunities
Direct connections with business and public-service employers
Why it Matters for Employers and Institutions
For businesses and public-sector organizations, the event serves as a critical pipeline for future employees. For colleges and technical schools, it offers a recruiting platform to connect with motivated students. ESSDACK notes that the expo “improves the industry employee pipeline” and “is a great recruiting opportunity” for educational institutions.
