HUTCHINSON, Kan. — A group of residents in the SW Bricktown community are holding a special event in September.
Hutch Rec will be before the Hutchinson City Council Tuesday asking for a special event designation for what it is calling the SW Bricktown Fiesta.
The event is set for Sept. 25 at the SW Bricktown Park and will feature food trucks, a concert stage and dance area along 1st Avenue. The park area will have a beer garden, inflatables for the children and a mechanical bull. The special event designation will allow for alcohol to be served in the area around the park.
The party will run from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. if the council gives approval.
