KDOT announces approved March bids

TOPEKA, Kan. — The Kansas Department of Transportation announced Tuesday approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place March 22, 2023, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

Area bids include:

Harvey ‑ 50‑40 KA‑5786‑01 – U.S. 50, from 6.8 miles east of junction I‑135/U.S. 50, east for 0.5 mile (westerly extension), grade and surfacing, 0.5 mile, Pearson Construction LLC, Wichita, Kansas, $3,993,963.33.

Reno ‑ 14‑78 KA‑1007‑04 ‑ K‑14 (K‑96), from 4.5 miles southeast of Nickerson, north and west to the Reno/Rice county line, overlay, 12.4 miles, APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Kansas, $4,634,585.18.

Rice ‑ 14‑80 KA‑1007‑05 ‑ K‑14 (K‑96), from the Reno/Rice county line, north to junction K‑96/Avenue T (RS‑571), overlay, 4.7 miles, APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division, Hutchinson, Kansas, $5,444,817.55.

Statewide ‑ 50‑106 KA‑5787‑01 – U.S. 50, beginning 1.2 miles west of the Harvey/Marion county line, east for 1.3 miles (westerly extension). Bridge #082 over the Doyle Creek Drainage located 6.8 miles east of the east city limits of Walton, grading, bridge and surfacing, 1.3 miles, Bettis Asphalt & Construction Inc., Topeka, Kansas, $7,465,230.75.
