
Marilyn Faye Cramer, 70, of Hutchinson, passed away December 24, 2025, at Hospice House. She was born December 31, 1954, in Hutchinson, to Ray L. and Ruth I. (King) Cramer.
Marilyn graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1972 and attended Sidney’s Beauty School. She then worked at Doskocil’s, later Tyson Foods.
Marilyn, ever artistic, enjoyed sculpting clay and helped her mother win multiple Governor’s Cookie Jar awards at the Kansas State Fair, as well as winning the award herself. She was a fabulous baker. Marilyn also cared deeply for animals. She will be remembered for her kindness, humor, playfulness, and her deep empathy and compassion for those in need.
Marilyn married Eddie Chronister Sr., in 1993, and they had one son, Spencer Chronister. She was also stepmother to Eddie Chronister Jr. and Bobby Chronister.
Marilyn is survived by: her loving son, Spencer Chronister; sister, Connie Hatch (Dennis) of Burlington; nieces, Erin Schuessler of Overland Park, Emily Schuessler of Wichita; two great-nieces; one great-great-niece; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; stepsons; and beloved nephew, Andy Schuessler.
Cremation has taken place and a private inurnment for family and friends is planned.
