
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Seasonal jobs for the Christmas holiday and fewer people looking for work drove unemployment in Reno County below the 3% level in November.
The unemployment rate for November was just 2.8%, down from 3.4% in October and from 4.3% in 2020. There were 836 county residents looking for work compared with 1,042 in October.
The jobless rate for the city of Hutchinson was an even 3% with 567 residents looking for work. The November unemployment rate for Kansas stood at 3.6%, down from 3.9% in October.
