HUTCHINSON, Kan. — For a third time teachers in Hutchinson USD 308 have failed to to vote on a new collective bargaining agreement.
Teachers were to vote on the tentative agreement on Monday but the vote has now been pushed back to Thursday.
The two sides recently came together on a new contract several weeks ago after declaring an impasse during negotiations. At that time a mediator was brought in to try and bring the two sides closer together.
If teachers approve the contract the matter will go before the USD 308 School Board for their approval.
