MIAMI COUNTY, Kansas —Sheriff's deputies with the Miami County Sheriff's Office responded just after 10a.m. Saturday to an aircraft emergency at the Miami County Airport.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Cozy Mark IV fixed wing aircraft piloted by Michael Baker, 58, Tuttle, Oklahoma, was flying northeast when the oil pressure warning came on. The pilot then diverted and made an emergency landing at the Miami County Airport damaging the front nose and landing wheel of the aircraft.
The pilot and passenger identified as Jean Baker, 57, Tuttle, Oklahoma, were not injured. The FAA and NTSB will investigate.
