Ida Juanita Pritchard, 89, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Hospice House, in Hutchinson, KS. She was born July 12, 1933 in Turon, KS, the daughter of John and Ida Edda (Fry) Pennel.
Ida graduated from Buhler High School in 1951 and on September 18, 1953, she married Claudie C. Pritchard in Hutchinson. Ida enjoyed crocheting, painting with oil and water colors and drawing. She attended Elmdale Senior Center and Delos V. Smith Senior Center in Hutchinson.
Ida is survived by her husband, Claudie; six children, Claudie L. Pritchard, Karen (Valentino) Rodriguez, Leslie D. (Marcine) Pritchard, Charlie E. (Edie) Pritchard, Lola M. (Norman) Elliott and Wayne (Cris) Pritchard; a sister, Ramona Rescoe; 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra K. Pritchard; a son, Michael C. Pritchard; two brothers; and four sisters.
A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel, 300 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family to greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2023, at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
