Lewellyn “Lew” L. Koehn, 78, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Sandstone Heights Nursing home, Little River.
Lew was born on March 2, 1945, in McPherson, KS, the son of Henry Russell and Lenora Geneva (Unruh) Koehn. He graduated from Canton-Galva High School. On September 12, 1966, Lew was united in marriage to Linda Sue Brack in Canton, KS. This union was blessed with two children, Laura and Larry.
He worked at Hay & Forage (AGCO) in Hesston as an assembler. He also was a truck driver for Graves Truck Line.
Survivors include: his loving wife of nearly 57 years, Linda; a daughter, Laura (Marty) Peterson of McPherson, KS; a son, Larry (Misty) Koehn of Moundridge, KS; a brother, Lynn (Vickie) Koehn of Grafton, ND; a sister, Avenell Hines of Galva, KS; five grandchildren, Tony (Stephanie) Peterson, Heather (Nick) Dubois, Zach (Amanda) Peterson, Cody Armstrong, and Andrew Armstrong; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Lenora Koehn; step-father, Jessie Koehn; brother & sister-in-law, Wayne & Cindy Koehn; brother-in-law, Denny Hines; and nephew, Darrin Koehn.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 17, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with burial following at Crestwood Memorial Park Cemetery, McPherson.
