The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a Heat Advisory from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Heat index values of 105 to 109 are expected.
Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
If you need a place to stay cool, the Salvation Army at 700 North Walnut will have the doors open as a cooling center.
