HUTCHINSON, Kan. — It was pitted as one of the better matchups of the day but the last game of the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament Tuesday was anything but as Coffeyville put up a big number of Odessa running the Wranglers off the floor 95-56.
The Red Ravens were never in trouble as they jumped out to a 20 point halftime lead and never looked back. Coffeyville was led by Love Bettis with 22 points along with five other players in double figures. The Ravens shot 54% from the field and out rebounded Odessa 37-28.
The Wranglers were led by Tre Richardson who was the only player in double figures with 11 points.
Coffeyville moves on to play Northern Oklahoma at 2 p.m. Thursday. Odessa ends the season at 24-4.
