Police arrest second Kan. suspect after shooting investigation

SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a shooting have a second suspect in custody.

Just before 7:30a.m. Sept. 21, police responded to a shooting the 1600 Block of SW Lane in Topeka, according to Lt. Ronnie Connell.

At the scene, officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Late Monday, police reported as a result of their investigation they arrested 31-year-old Bo Thomas Shipley of Topeka on requested charges of Aggravated Battery and Criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.

On Thursday, police reported the arrest of  Dylan Dean Thomas, 31, of Topeka on requested charges of Aggravated Battery and he faces charges in an unrelated Aggravated Assault incident, according to Connell.
