HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The USD 308 Board of Education heard from the Redesign Team from Hutchinson Middle School - 7 at their meeting on Monday (March 27, 2023).
March is Middle School Education Month, and the Redesign Team from HMS-7 presented their plans and current programs for engaging middle school students in educational growth. Teachers Brian Brillhart, Mary Rains, and Shandi Webster shared examples of how they have implemented Redesign goals into their school day, and how students have responded and thrived with the new programming.
Examples of programming implemented through Redesign are Club Days, Genius Hour and project-based learning.
