HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Major Paul James with the Salvation Army told Hutch Post that Jared Heinen from Prairieland Partners was the champ this year at Donut Day for eating the most donuts.
Micah James won the People's Choice Award for most sponsorship dollars, and Kathy Ireland won the Raising the Most Dough Award while representing Prairie Star.
The total raised was $6,555. Last year they raised just over $4,000 for comparison.
Half of the Donut Day money will go toward defraying camp expenses for summer camps and half will go to the Salvation Army's international efforts.
