Margaret Ellen Herriman, 86, died December 6, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born June 4, 1937, in Warsaw, MO, to Irvin Bradshaw and Mary (Soles) Bradshaw.
Margaret was a 1955 graduate of Hutchinson High School. She graduated from Hutchinson Community College and attended one year of college at Ottawa University. Margaret was a homemaker and was heavily involved in her children’s activities, such as, Parent Teachers Organization, Girl and Boy Scout Troops, and Sing Out Reno County. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, and provided leadership in the church’s youth and music programs.
On September 2, 1956, Margaret married John Vincent Herriman at First Baptist Church, Hutchinson. They shared over 67 years of marriage.
Margaret is survived by: her husband, John Vincent Herriman of Hutchinson; children, Dale Herriman and Andrea (Robert) Rockey, both of Hutchinson; and sister-in-law, Betty (Frank) Steffen of Burrton, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Brenda Herriman.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary with Pastor Ron Kyker officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, December 10, 2023, with the family present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
