MCPHERSON COUNTY— According to a release from the McPherson County Sheriff's Office at approximately 8:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, deputies were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Smoky Valley Road near 6th Avenue. Deputies arrived on scene to find a Kawasaki Mule rolled into the South ditch.
Marquette Fire & EMS were also dispatched, and the sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased by Marquette EMS personnel. The driver was identified as Richard L. Anderson, 39, of Marquette, KS.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
